Exploratory event for RC Jet Pilots and Airport Supporters on Veterans Day weekend.

Rare opportunity to see 200 mph remote control jets in action.

An experience to develop a full fledged spectator event for 2017

Dinner for Jet pilots and invited airport supporters.

New Website for 1K8

The South Grand Lake Regional Airport website has been rebuilt as a dynamic Content Management System (CMS). The site is built with the CMS WordPress and features the online advance reservation of airport courtesy cars. The new site also includes an ecommerce capability.

South Grand Lake Regional Airport

On Monday July 11th South Grand Lake Regional airport welcomed 43 First Responders representing six local fire departments for a safety seminar. Billy Risley, FAA Safety Team Program Manager, traveled from Oklahoma City to present the program. The topic of the seminar was Aircraft Accidents for First Responders. The venue for the seminar was the DSA (Derrick Schmidt Aviation) corporate hangar. Attendees were enthusiastic to hear the information presented. A bonus for them was the program was eligible for continuing education credit. Based on the Q & A and comments from the attendees, the program was a success! ...
